BLUELOCK x Gokurakuyu & RAKU SPA: “Egoist-tachi no Furo Lock Gaikiyoku Hen” Collaboration Kicks Off! Featuring Newly Drawn Illustrations of Isagi and More Enjoying the Outdoors
The TV anime BLUELOCK is partnering up with “Gokurakuyu” and “RAKU SPA” for their second collaboration event! Titled “Egoist-tachi no Furo Lock Gaikiyoku Hen” (Egoists’ Bath Lock: Outdoor Bathing Chapter), this collaboration will be held at 16 Gokurakuyu and RAKU SPA group locations starting May 22, 2025.
The original work of BLUELOCK is a soccer manga that won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category. The story is penned by Kaneshiro Muneyuki, with artwork by Nomura Yusuke, and it is currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine”. The story follows the “BLUE LOCK” project, established by the Japan Football Union to train a striker who can lead Japan to World Cup victory. Three hundred high school students, all forwards, are gathered for this project. The manga depicts their journey as they face a grueling selection process to become the world’s best striker.
The TV anime aired for two consecutive cours starting in October 2022. The movie BLUELOCK -EPISODE NAGI- was released in April 2024, and the second season of the TV anime aired for 14 episodes starting October 5th.
In line with the series’ popularity, the “Egoist-tachi no Furo Lock Gaikiyoku Hen” collaboration features newly drawn illustrations of Isagi Yoichi and six other characters relaxing during gaikiyoku (outdoor air exposure, often after a bath). Using these charming illustrations, the event offers a variety of content, including collaboration goods, character-inspired menu items, special collaboration baths, and even an X (formerly Twitter) campaign.
Collaboration Goods & Bonuses
During the collaboration period, if you purchase the “Egoist Set” which includes the entrance fee, you will receive a collaboration-exclusive “Muffler Towel” chosen randomly from a total of 7 designs.
The newly drawn illustrations featuring the characters in their gaikiyoku poses are used for various goods, including trading items, “Acrylic Stands”, “Clear Files”, “Locker Key-style Keyholders”, and “Lunch Totes”. These items will also be available for purchase online starting May 22nd at 12:00 PM. Furthermore, a store-exclusive purchase bonus, a “Washi-style Sticker”, is also available.
Themed Menu Items & Coasters
At the dining areas and restaurants within the venues, limited-time collaboration menus will be served. For each item ordered from the character-themed menu, you will receive a random “Original Coaster”. You can receive an additional coaster by completing a stamp rally.
Experience the Collaboration Baths
Seven types of collaboration baths, inspired by Isagi Yoichi, Bachira Meguru, Itoshi Rin, Nagi Seishiro, Mikage Reo, Karasu Tabito, and Hiori Yo, will also be available. Special tapestries featuring unique designs will be displayed in the bathing areas during the event.
In-Store Fun & Activities
The exhibition featuring panels and banners with the newly drawn illustrations, as well as posters showing “Egoi Tanoshimikata 2” (Egoist Ways to Enjoy 2), which guides guests on how to enjoy the baths using scenes from the TV anime, are also highlights of the event. You can also take commemorative photos with chibi-character designs at AR photo spots using your smartphone camera.
X Campaign
Furthermore, by following the official X account for Gokurakuyu/RAKU SPA and posting content related to the collaboration with the hashtag “#ふろロック” (Furo Lock), then showing the post screen at the reception desk, the first visitors will receive a participation prize postcard and a lottery ticket for a chance to win collaboration decorations.
