【Video】Miki & Hanae Confess Their “Drinking Fails”
In this broadcast, Miki Shinichirou appeared as the first guest of the season for the Thursday show. He talked about the appeal of the anime Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu!, which he co-stars in with Hanae-san. Additionally, a special collaboration segment titled “Teach Me, Miki-shishou!” was held, inspired by Miki-san’s role as a “shishou” (master/teacher) in the anime. In this segment, “Miki-shishou” answered various questions from Ono-san and Hanae-san, ranging from private life to work.
“It’s the Real Thing!” Miki Shinichirou, Ono-san, and Hanae-san Share a Hilarious Talk

In this broadcast, Miki Shinichirou made his first appearance on the live broadcast of Yo Asobi. Upon the appearance of their esteemed senior, the two hosts were filled with excitement, exclaiming, “Wow!”, “It’s the real thing!”. During the subsequent opening talk, they discussed their first impressions of each other. Ono-san also asked Miki-san a direct question: “Having seen many juniors, did you ever think the two of us would become successful?”. The show started with great excitement right from the opening.

During the broadcast, a collaboration segment with the TV anime Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu! was held, titled “Teach Me, Miki-shishou!”. In the anime, Miki-san plays the sword master of Liam, the young head of a count family who aims to be an “akutoku ryoushu”, voiced by Hanae-san. Here, Miki-san appeared as the “Miki-shishou,” a great senior in the voice acting industry, to answer questions from his two juniors. While Ono-san and Hanae-san’s eyes sparkled saying “We don’t get opportunities like this often!”, Miki-san was flustered, saying, “Stop it~! There’s nothing I can teach you~!”. Nevertheless, the segment began.

First, Hanae-san asked a question he really wanted to know: “Can you share a drinking fail episode that you can talk about now?”. Miki-san immediately replied, “This is impossible! I can’t teach you that! We lived in different eras!”, which made the two burst into laughter. Afterward, Miki-san revealed some of his failed experiences, such as “Thinking I went home after drinking with everyone, I woke up and saw people going to work walking past me looking down,” and “I was sleeping inside a large bush.” Hanae-san also chimed in, saying, “I’ve also slept in a garbage dump.” This led to a strange moment of shared understanding between the two, with Miki-san saying, “It’s warm there in the winter, isn’t it!”, and Hanae-san agreeing, “Yeah, the garbage is warm~.” The studio was once again filled with laughter.
Furthermore, Ono-san, who had apparently taken care of Hanae-san in such situations, also revealed a story. Ono-san shared how Hanae-san “jumped into a garbage dump on the way home, yelling ‘I’m garbage!!!'”. Miki-san burst into laughter at this. The hilarious drinking fails of Miki-san and Hanae-san, both self-proclaimed sake lovers, delighted the viewers, who commented “共感ww” (Commiserating lol), “豪快エピソード” (Wild episodes), and “師匠どこいったw” (Where did the shishou go lol).

Other questions included one for Miki-san, who enjoys traveling abroad, asking for recommendations. Miki-san passionately spoke about the charm of overseas travel, filled with romance. When asked about his recent hobby, Miki-san revealed he’s currently engrossed in building a plastic model of the AE86 (commonly known as the Hachiroku), the car of Fujiwara Takumi, a character he voiced in Initial D. Both Ono-san and Hanae-san were highly excited, reacting with “Ohh!”, “Seriously!?”.
Moreover, Ono-san asked, “How can one become a ‘shishou’?” Ono-san inquired about when characters referred to as “shishou” started coming his way as his roles changed with age. Miki-san laughed and replied, “I don’t remember~ Recently I’ve been playing characters who die, are already dead, or are old men.” He continued, “It depends on the balance of the work. Sometimes characters are called ‘shishou’ even when they are young. I think if you sincerely approach your work and the roles, you’ll eventually be called one.”

Ono-san nodded thoughtfully and then lamented, “I want to be called ‘shishou’~!”. Hearing this, Miki-san called Ono-san “shishou”. Ono-san, grinning happily at being called “Shishou~” by Miki-san, replied “What is it~? Shinichirou-kun.” This prompted a sharp retort from Hanae-san, “Oh no~!”, “I want you to cut out just this part!”. The studio erupted in laughter once more.
