The sequel to Zootopia, titled Zootopia 2, is finally set to premiere in Winter 2025. A special teaser trailer and teaser poster for this latest installment have just been unveiled. One day, the sudden appearance of Gary the snake in Zootopia triggers a massive mystery related to the city’s past history, which Judy and Nick must confront. A Glimpse at the Teaser
The recently unveiled teaser trailer kicks off with a charming scene typical of Zootopia: the lemmings, forming Zootopia’s top techno group LEMEENS, passionately playing their original song “ZUTU” on an electronic piano. Byron Howard, who continues to direct the series, shared that this song was created to welcome people from around the world to the city of Zootopia, performed by the group who had just served as the opening act for a tour with Gazelle.
And just as Judy and Nick make their appearance, Gary De Snake, the new character who seems to hold the key to the story, suddenly appears and escapes, dragging the duo along with him. It appears Gary is being pursued by officers led by Chief Bogo, and the teaser rapidly shows Judy and Nick escaping through various locations in Zootopia alongside Gary.

There are locations like a wetland inhabited by animals such as beavers who live in both water and on land, vast desert dunes, sheer cliffs at high altitudes, and even frigid zones battered by blizzards – all places that didn’t appear in the previous film. These new environments suggest a significantly expanded world and a grander scale for the adventure in Zootopia 2.
Furthermore, familiar characters from the first film flash across the screen. In the final moments, a mysterious black figure wrapped in a cloak appears before Judy, Nick, and Gary.
