Fans of the visual novel ‘Nukitashi’ have some exciting news! The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation, titled ‘Nukitashi the Animation’, recently dropped fresh details, including additional cast members and the very first promotional video. Mark your calendars, because the series is set to premiere in July 2025, bringing the quirky world of Oojima to the screen.

Director Nagayama Nobuyoshi previously helmed the anime **Renai Flops**. Ihara Kenta handled the series composition and script for **Mieruko-chan**, and Kumata served as a main animator for **Onii-chan wa Oshimai!**.
Based on the Popular Visual Novel
As the title suggests, ‘Nukitashi the Animation’ is based on the visual novel created by game developer Qruppo. The original game first launched back in June 2018. For international fans, DMM Games’ localization team, Shiravune, released the game in Chinese and English in June 2023.
Qruppo also released a sequel game, ‘Nukitashi 2’, in May 2019. Shiravune brought this sequel to Steam and Johren platforms on February 15th.
Beyond the Game
The world of ‘Nukitashi’ isn’t limited to visual novels. A manga adaptation by Mameojitan began serialization on Beaglee’s Manga Oukoku platform in December 2020. It later started running in Ultra Jump magazine in November 2021. Shueisha published the sixth volume of the manga in April 2024. Additionally, Kadokawa released an official anthology under their Dragon Comics Age label in July 2023.
