Voice actor and artist Ogura Yui, known for her vibrant performances and musical talents, is set to release a memorial photobook capturing her appearance in her late 20s. Titled 『ゆいとぴあ』 (Yuitopia), the photobook will be released by Shogakukan on August 8, 2025. Shot in the beautiful natural landscapes and rich cultural setting of Northern Europe’s Finland, the book revolves around the theme of a “happiness-seeking journey.” A special comment from Ogura Yui has also been released.
Ogura Yui was born on August 15, 1995, in Gunma Prefecture. Since her debut as a voice actor in 2009, she has played main and leading roles in numerous TV anime and game titles. She also began her career as a solo artist in 2012 and has recently expanded her activities to include narration for various programs. Her notable voice acting roles include Mary from 『ポケットモンスター』 (Pokemon), Homare Kagayaki from 『HUGっと！プリキュア』 (HUGtto! PreCure), and Manhattan Cafe from 『ウマ娘 プリティーダービー』 (Uma Musume Pretty Derby).
Latest photobook 『ゆいとぴあ』 is set to capture the sparkle of Ogura-san as she approaches the end of her 20s. The theme she chose is a “happiness-seeking journey,” playing on the Japanese number pun 29 (fuku), which sounds like “fuku” (fortune or happiness). Finland, a country renowned for ranking first in the World Happiness Report and admired for its stunning nature and rich culture, was selected as the location for this journey.
Ogura-san enjoyed exploring the charming streets of Helsinki, the capital, and the old city of Porvoo as spring arrived. She also showed a relaxed expression in a hotel with sophisticated design. Furthermore, she experienced a Finnish staple: the sauna. Adorned in 13 different outfits tailored to each scene, the photobook is filled with her highly transparent visual, befitting her nickname “Voice Acting World’s Beauty Committee Chairperson.”
As a special purchase bonus, nine different L-size bromides will be available at six participating stores: Animate, Gamers, Melonbooks, HMV, Rakuten Books, and Seven Net. Additionally, a signing event is scheduled to be held at an Animate store in Tokyo on September 15, and a panel exhibition is also confirmed to take place at AKIHABARA Gamers Main Store. It has been decided that my latest photobook, capturing me in my late 20s, will be released!
The location is Finland, a country known for being No. 1 in the happiness ranking, which ties into the theme of 29 (fuku = happiness).
It’s a country I’ve always wanted to visit, so I’ve been looking forward to the shoot ever since it was decided.
Locally, surrounded by warm people, delicious food, and beautiful nature, it truly became a “happiness-seeking journey” where smiles naturally overflowed.
This photobook is packed with those moments of finding happiness and my true self in my late 20s.
Rather than posing formally for the camera, I cherished the feelings I honestly felt in the atmosphere and scenery of the location, and it captured many relaxed expressions and moments. It has become a very special memory for me as well.
I would be happy if you could feel the atmosphere of this journey, full of happiness, as you turn the pages. Please look forward to its release!
