What’s the Story About?
Let’s dive into the premise of **Aishiteru Game wo Owarasetai**. The story follows childhood friends Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura. Back when they were just in sixth grade, these two came up with a rather unique game: the objective was to embarrass the other person by taking turns saying “I love you.”
Fast forward four years, and they’re now entering high school. Despite the change in scenery, Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura are still locked in this playful battle, each trying to outdo the other and claim victory in their long-running game.
However, things start to get complicated. As they spend more time together and navigate high school life, genuine, tender feelings begin to blossom in their hearts. Suddenly, that simple phrase, “I love you,” starts taking on a whole new meaning, one that goes far beyond the original rules of their game.
Day by day, the desire to become more than just childhood friends grows stronger for both Yukiya Asagi and Miku Sakura. Yet, they both hesitate to make the first move, unsure of what might happen once their game finally comes to an end.
The news of the anime adaptation was originally reported by Comic Natalie.
