Rooted deeply in traditional Chinese culture, the series is composed of eight distinct episodes. Each episode tells a unique “strange tale” (怪異譚), blending rich imagination with a diverse array of artistic styles that are distinctly Chinese. The Theatrical Experience: A World Premiere
At the “Den’eisai” Chinese film festival event, a special theatrical version of Chuugoku Kitan will be screened.
