A high-quality figure recreating the “Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki” from ‘Evangerion Shin Gekijouban: Q’ using cast material is here! This is the latest collaboration between sculptor Yoshi. and figure maker CCPJAPAN, titled “CCPJAPAN×Yoshi. Project Dai 5 Dan Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki”. Pre-orders are starting sequentially at EVANGELION STORE, hobby shops and mass retailers nationwide, and various web shops.

The “CCPJAPAN×Yoshi. Project” is a series that aims to deliver the super sculpting of artist Yoshi. as high-quality figures, in collaboration with figure maker CCPJAPAN. Yoshi. is an artist active across various fields, from character design and operating original content to creating prototypes.

So far, the series has released Dai 1 Gouki, Ryousanki, Ni Gouki, and the Dai 4 no Shito as its first to fourth installments. This fifth installment, “CCPJAPAN×Yoshi. Project Dai 5 Dan Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki”, brings the “Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki” from ‘Evangerion Shin Gekijouban: Q’ to life with a completely new sculpt.

The sculpting is based on the memorable scene from ‘Evangerion Shin Gekijouban: Q’ where the unit pulls the two spears inside Central Dogma, subsequently triggering the Fourth Impact. It has been made three-dimensional into an impressive size of approximately 47cm tall, making it the largest in the series. You can even appreciate the difference in texture between the normal arms and the internal arms that are usually hidden.

Also, when grabbing the two spears, the unit enters a “berserk state”, moving impulsively alongside Ikari Shinji after being released from Nagisa Kaworu’s control. This figure replicates that state, featuring an open-mouthed head sculpt, four glowing red eyes, and the exposed internal area that glows like a power core where the covering arms on the chest were removed.

Furthermore, by swapping the upper body parts, you can recreate both the “2-arm (normal form)” and “4-arm (berserk form)” states. In the 2-arm normal form, the arms extending from the chest are closed, sculpted with a standard silhouette reminiscent of the Dai 1 Gouki. When not in the berserk state, the Dai 13 Gouki is controlled by both Nagisa Kaworu and Ikari Shinji. Accordingly, the head is also in its normal form with yellow eyes and lines. The parts can be easily swapped using magnets, allowing you to display the figure in your preferred pose.

Beyond the sculpting, another highlight of this work is the heavy coloring applied, which you wouldn’t expect from a mass-produced item. The coloring aims to faithfully recreate the color scheme of the Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki while further enhancing Yoshi.’s prototype. It achieves a heavily painted finish with fine shadows and gloss adjustments, difficult to replicate with standard figures.

The slightly blue-black body is expressed through gradients of purple and blue. The black feet, a characteristic feature of the Dai 13 Gouki, are also recreated. The two arms emerging from within the body, which were disguised as chest armor, are colored to evoke an image of soft texture. The chest area in the berserk state has its glowing effect recreated with gradients. Even the four eyes are finely finished with highlights applied. The coloring was completed with meticulous care and passion to maximize the appeal of the prototype. You’ll definitely want to welcome this impressive Evangerion Dai 13 Gouki figure into your collection.
