Celebrating Digimon’s Release Day: Latest News from “DIGIMON TIMES” Including New Anime Character Visuals!
A new episode of the program “DIGIMON TIMES,” which delivers the latest information on all things Digimon – anime, games, cards, merchandise, and more – was streamed on June 26, 2025, the anniversary of the original *Digital Monster* release. This episode revealed a character visual for *DIGIMON BEATBREAK*, the first completely new TV anime series in about two years, which is set to start broadcasting in October.


*Digimon*, or *Digital Monster*, is an育成型携帯液晶ゲーム (ikuseigata keitai ekishou game – raising simulation portable LCD game) released in 1997. Despite being a palm-sized portable LCD game, it gained overwhelming support from children for its innovative features, not only allowing players to raise monsters but also to battle them against friends.
Starting with the film *DIGIMON ADVENTURE* in 1999, the anime series has produced nine TV series and thirteen movies, garnering support from a wide range of generations. With *DIGIMON BEATBREAK*, the first new series in about two years, scheduled to begin airing in October 2025, *Digimon*, a franchise with over 25 years of history, continues to evolve.
Unveiling the Protagonist of DIGIMON BEATBREAK
In this recent “DIGIMON TIMES” episode, a character visual for the new TV anime *DIGIMON BEATBREAK* was finally revealed.
This visual reveals the characters who were shrouded in mystery in the teaser visual shown at “DIGIMON CON 2025” back in March. It depicts the protagonist, Tenma Tomorou, and his partner Digimon, Geckomon. What kind of world does Tomorou’s gaze, visible through his glasses, look upon? We eagerly await further updates!
DIGIMON CROSS WARS Streaming and More Exciting News
In other exciting news, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the sixth TV anime series, *DIGIMON CROSS WARS*, all 79 episodes will be temporarily available for streaming on the Toei Animation Museum Channel on YouTube starting July 6. Furthermore, during “DIGIMON TIMES,” a new logo was unveiled, symbolizing the extensive range of *Digimon* content that has developed since the release of the LCD toy *Digital Monster* on June 26, 1997.

The program also shared the latest information on the *Digital Monster* series’ newest products, the *DIGIMON CARD GAME*, merchandise, the game series, and the “DIGIMON EXPO´25” event. There’s certainly a lot to look forward to as the *Digimon* content continues to heat up!
