It was officially announced that the light novel series Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game by Kazuki Amamiya is getting a TV anime adaptation. This exciting reveal came directly from the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the HJ Bunko label on Tuesday.

About the Series

The original Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game is a romance comedy penned by Kazuki Amamiya. The series began its run under Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko imprint back in December 2021, featuring delightful illustrations by Gin, known for their work on Rebuild World. The story has been unfolding nicely, with the eighth volume hitting shelves last December. The ninth volume is eagerly anticipated and is scheduled for release on July 1.

The series is also known in English as Haibara’s Teenage New Game+, thanks to J-Novel Club who licensed the light novel for digital release. They started publishing it in October 2022 and recently released the eighth volume digitally on June 20.

For those who enjoy manga adaptations, Misaomaru has been drawing a manga version of the story in Comic Fire since June 2023.
