Excitement is building for the summer anime series `Onmyou Kaiten Re:birth`, especially with the release of the synopsis and preview cuts for the first episode, titled “Don’t You Dare Admit Defeat Even If You Die! A Yankee Stands in Denji Heiankyou!”. This highly anticipated premiere is set to air starting July 2, 2025. `Onmyou Kaiten Re:birth` is the very first original TV anime production from david production, the acclaimed studio behind the `JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken` series. The story depicts Narihira Takeru, a hot-blooded yankee high school student, repeatedly confronting threats assailing the city in an effort to save the life of the heroine Tsukimiya, whom he met in “Denji Heiankyou”, where he was transported after an unexpected accident. This unpredictable time loop rescue drama unfolds as he experiences countless encounters with Tsukimiya and the strongest onmyouji, Abe no Seimei, battling a harsh fate with an unyielding spirit.
Episode 1: “Don’t You Dare Admit Defeat Even If You Die! A Yankee Stands in Denji Heiankyou!” Synopsis
Narihira Takeru, a yankee high school student also known as Takeru, spends his days longing for the mysterious girl, Tsukimiya, who appears repeatedly in his dreams. One day, Takeru is involved in an unforeseen accident and falls off a cliff. When he wakes up, the Tsukimiya he’s longed for is right before his eyes.
In that other world, called “Denji Heiankyou,” protected by onmyouji like Abe no Seimei, Tsukimiya treats Takeru as a suspicious person, leaving him to wander the streets.
It is then that a black mist suddenly engulfs the city, and grotesque monsters begin to attack the people.
Furthermore, ahead of the Episode 1 broadcast, a PV and visual for the heroine Tsukimiya, whom the protagonist Takeru meets in the other world, have also arrived. What kind of conclusion will the fated encounter between Takeru and Tsukimiya bring to the story?
The first episode of the summer anime `Onmyou Kaiten Re:birth`, “Don’t You Dare Admit Defeat Even If You Die! A Yankee Stands in Denji Heiankyou!”, will begin airing from Wednesday, July 2, 2025, starting at 24:45 on Fuji TV’s “+Ultra” block and other networks.
