Summer Anime “Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konnyakusha ni Dekiaisareru” Episode 1 Synopsis and Preview Cuts Revealed

Synopsis and preview cuts have been released for the first episode, titled “It’s Absolutely Impossible For Me To Be A Substitute For My Older Sister”, of the summer anime `Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konnyakusha ni Dekiaisareru`, which begins broadcasting on July 4, 2025.

`Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konnyakusha ni Dekiaisareru` is based on the novel by Tobi Rano, serialized in M Novels f, with illustrations by Nakakura Chikage. A manga adaptation is also underway, and the series has surpassed a cumulative total of 2 million copies in print. It’s a “Cinderella story that begins with a misunderstanding.”

The story follows Marie, the second daughter of a poor baronet family. Dressed in ragged clothes, she is treated like a servant by her parents. Despite this, she maintains a kind and honest heart and devotes herself to her family. One day, a birthday party is held for her, but the main attraction is her older sister, Anastasia, who looks like a princess. Marie stands sadly outside the venue and happens to meet Kyuros Granado, a wealthy count.
They are drawn to each other, and Count Granado falls in love with Marie at first sight. However, due to a misunderstanding, he proposes to Anastasia instead of Marie. The engagement between Count Granado and her sister progresses rapidly, but after Anastasia dies in an accident, Marie is to marry him in her sister’s place… This is how the story unfolds.
