BLACK TORCH Main Cast Announced: Suzuki Ryohta, Ueda Yohji, Senbongi Sayaka, Enoki Junya! Voice PV Also Released

TV anime BLACK TORCH announces main cast of 4 members. Suzuki Ryohta takes the role of protagonist Agatsuma Niro, while Ueda Yohji serves as his companion Rago. A PV with character voices was also released.

BLACK TORCH is a TV anime based on the manga by Takaki Tsuyoshi, which was serialized in “Jump SQ.” and “Shonen Jump+” from 2017 to 2018, depicting a “shinobi” battle story starting from the encounter between a mononoke and a young boy. Under the direction of Mabiki Kei, 100studio, known for the original theatrical anime Suufunkan no Yell wo and TV anime Kono Sekai wa Fukanzen Sugiru, and Chuuzenji Sensei Mononoke Kohgiroku Sensei ga Nazo wo Toite Shimau kara., is handling the animation production.

Agatsuma Niro, a high school student raised by his grandfather as a ninja descendant with the ability to talk to animals, encounters a wounded black cat named Rago in the forest one day. Although Rago initially seemed like just a black cat, his true identity was that of a legendary mononoke once feared as the “Black Malignant Star.” As the shadows of mononoke seeking to exploit Rago’s immense power draw near, the “Kohgi Onmitsukyoku,” a secret national organization monitoring and eliminating mononoke, also intervenes. Amidst various intentions swirling around Rago’s power, what kind of “kakugo” (resolve) will Niro and Rago demonstrate?

This new information was announced on stage at “Anime Expo 2025,” held in Los Angeles, USA. The four main cast members responsible for the main characters were revealed, along with the character PV.

Suzuki Ryohta takes on the role of Agatsuma Niro, a high school student raised by his grandfather as a ninja descendant. Ueda Yohji serves as Rago, a legendary mononoke once feared under the alias “Black Malignant Star,” despite appearing as a simple black cat. Furthermore, Senbongi Sayaka is cast as Kishimojin Ichika, a female member of the Kohgi Onmitsukyoku’s “Black Torch” unit, which Niro will join. Enoki Junya is assigned the role of Kirihara Reiji, a rookie member of the same team. Further updates regarding the TV anime BLACK TORCH are eagerly awaited.
