Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen Daiisshou Akaza Sairai First Key Visual
Based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics” with over 150 million copies in circulation, Kimetsu no Yaiba tells the poignant story of Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is killed by demons. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister, Nezuko, back into a human and fight against the demonic threat. Its compelling narrative, intense sword battles, captivating characters, and occasional comedic moments have garnered immense popularity.
The anime adaptation, produced by ufotable, began with TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen in April 2019 and has continued to expand as a series. Following the TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Hashira Geiko-hen (Hashira Training Arc), which aired from May 2024, the story continues with Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen. This theatrical continuation is planned as a trilogy, with Daiisshou Akaza Sairai premiering on July 18, 2025. The film will take place in the demons’ base, the Infinity Castle (Mugenjou), where Tanjirou and his companions have fallen, marking the beginning of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons.
Leading up to the film’s release, Fuji Television Network is airing Gekijouban “Mugenjou-hen” Koukai Kinen! “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Zenyana Tokubetsu Housou, delivering the story from the Mugen Ressha-hen (Mugen Train Arc) up to the Hashira Geiko-hen across seven nights.
