Get Ready for More Science! Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE 2nd Cour Episode 13 “Looking at the Same Moon” Advance Cuts and Synopsis Released
Get ready for the next chapter in the scientific adventure! Advance scene cuts and the synopsis for episode 13, titled “Onaji Tsuki o Mite” (Looking at the Same Moon), from the second cour of the summer anime `Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE` have been released. This episode is set to air starting from July 10, 2025.
`Dr.STONE` is a TV anime series set several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon instantly petrified all of humanity. The story follows the super-intelligent science boy Ishigami Senkuu, who awakens and takes on the challenge of rebuilding civilization in the stone world (Stone World) using his genius scientific mind. Based on the original manga by Inagaki Riichirou with art by Boichi, which was serialized in “Shuukan Shounen Jump” from 2017 to 2022, the series has garnered acclaim, including placing 2nd in the Comic category of the “Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou 2018” and winning the Shougakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category. The cumulative circulation of the manga exceeds 19 million copies.
The TV anime began with its first season in July 2019, followed by a second season in 2021, a TV special in 2022, and a third season aired across two cours in 2023. The final season, `Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE`, is being delivered in three split cours. This second cour continues the story from the first cour which aired from January to March 2025. As Stanley’s forces close in, Senkuu and his companions in the Kingdom of Science strive to keep the light of science burning and finally get closer to the core of the petrification device, the “Medusa”.
Episode 13 “Onaji Tsuki o Mite” Synopsis
Following the battle against Zeno’s army, Senkuu and the members of the Kingdom of Science had the Perseus taken over. However, Chrome and others succeeded in capturing Zeno. Senkuu entrusts Corn City to Nikki and her group and heads towards South America, the origin of the petrification beam, while evading Stanley’s fierce pursuit.
To uncover the mystery of the petrification beam and the moon, Senkuu teams up with his former science master, Zeno. The two strongest scientists on Earth combine their knowledge to approach the truth behind the ominous light.
International Premieres
Ahead of the broadcast, on July 5th (local time), the first-ever simultaneous premiere across two countries for this series was held at “Anime Expo 2025” in Los Angeles, USA, and “Japan Expo Paris 2025” in Paris, France. Due to the same-day event, the cast split into the Senkuu & Zeno team and Ryusui. Kobayashi Yuusuke (Ishigami Senkuu) and Nojima Kenji (Dr. Zeno) appeared at the North American premiere at Anime Expo 2025, while Suzuki Ryouta (Nanami Ryusui) attended the European premiere at Japan Expo Paris 2025.
Fans packed the venues in both locations and were thrilled by the stage greetings and the subsequent advance screening of the second cour. The long-awaited second cour of the final season of the `Dr.STONE` anime generated great excitement among fans in North America and Europe.
The second cour of the summer anime `Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE`, episode 13 “Onaji Tsuki o Mite”, will air sequentially starting from 22:00 on July 10th on TOKYO MX and other channels.
