Kimetsu no Yaiba is the beloved anime adaptation of Gotouge Koyoharu’s manga, published by Shueisha under “Jump Comics.” With 23 volumes released and over 150 million copies in circulation, the story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is killed by demons. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps (Kizatsutai) to turn his demon-transformed sister, Nezuko, back into a human and battle against the demonic threat. Its poignant narrative of humans and demons, intense sword fighting action, captivating characters, and occasional comedic moments have captured hearts worldwide.
Ufotable, the animation studio behind the series, has been expanding the anime since the TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen premiered in April 2019. Following the TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Hashira Geiko-hen which aired from May 2024, the story continues with the Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen, planned as a three-part film series. “Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai” marks the beginning, premiering on July 18th, 2025. The story unfolds within the demons’ stronghold, the Infinity Castle (Mugenjou), setting the stage for the final showdown between the Kizatsutai and the demons.
