Smartphone/PC Game “Tensui no Sakunahime ~Hinuka Junreitan~” Officially Announced! New Character Hinukahime Voiced by Machico
Further details on the smartphone game have been revealed, part of the three major new projects for Tensui no Sakunahime announced in November 2024!
TOHO Games has officially announced Tensui no Sakunahime ~Hinuka Junreitan~, a new title for smartphones and PC (Steam). This exciting new entry in the beloved series is categorized as a “Rice Cultivation Simulation x Exploration Battle RPG.”
Introducing Hinukahime: A New Character and Cast Comments
Originally released in 2020 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Tensui no Sakunahime is a highly acclaimed Japanese-style action RPG. Players take on the role of Sakunahime, battling Oni while engaging in surprisingly deep and authentic Japanese rice cultivation, a core element used to strengthen Sakunahime herself. Its realistic farming mechanics became a massive sensation, earning it the moniker “Reiwa’s Rice Riot” and achieving widespread success.
Following the major announcement in November 2024 regarding three new Tensui no Sakunahime projects—a smartphone game, an anime sequel, and a new console game—further details about the smartphone title have now been unveiled. It has been officially titled Tensui no Sakunahime ~Hinuka Junreitan~, and a captivating teaser visual has been released.
The teaser visual showcases Sakunahime in a fresh new outfit, alongside the newly introduced character, Hinukahime. Their respective voice actors have also been announced. Oozora Naomi, who has voiced Sakunahime in the original game and anime, will reprise her role. The character Hinukahime will be voiced by Machico. Both voice actresses have shared their thoughts on joining the project.

Since I was a child, I’ve helped my farming grandparents, and as an agricultural voice actress, I’ve shared various information, so I feel like this is fate! Special Campaigns and Collaborations
To celebrate the announcement, an exciting follow-and-repost campaign is currently underway on the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Tensui no Sakunahime ~Hinuka Junreitan~. Thirty lucky winners will be chosen by lottery to receive 10 “National Common Rice Vouchers” (worth 4,400 yen). The entry period runs from August 4th at 7:00 PM JST until August 10th at 11:59 PM JST.
Furthermore, a special collaboration exhibit with Tensui no Sakunahime has been announced for “Kodomo Kasumigaseki Kengaku Day” (Children’s Kasumigaseki Tour Day), hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) on August 6th and 7th. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn interesting facts about rice with Sakunahime, and standees and posters will be displayed. Additionally, stickers will be presented to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
