Summer Anime “Dandadan”: Okarun and crew try to extract the Evil Eye from Jiji’s body… Episode 6 Advance Cuts
From summer anime Dandadan Season 2, the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 18, “We Became a Family” (Kazoku ni Narimashita), which begins airing on Thursday, August 7, 2025, have been released.
Dandadan is an electrifying occult battle and coming-of-age story based on the manga by Ryuu Yukinobu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Shounen Jump+” app, boasting over 10 million copies in circulation. The narrative centers on Ayase Momo, a high school girl born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Takakura Ken, an avid occult enthusiast nicknamed Okarun. Their lives take an extraordinary turn when they encounter overwhelming, unexplainable paranormal phenomena. This encounter grants them both hidden powers and cursed abilities, which they must use to confront the bizarre and relentless supernatural threats while also getting entangled in a fated romance.
The TV anime adaptation, which features Wakayama Shion as Ayase Momo (Momo) and Hanae Natsuki as Takakura Ken (Okarun), garnered immense popularity during its first season broadcast from October to December 2024. For this much-anticipated second season, Yamashiro Fuuga will be co-directing alongside Abel Gongora, with animation production once again handled by the renowned studio, Science Saru.
Episode 18: “We Became a Family” Synopsis
As Jiji’s transformation into the Evil Eye (Jashi) becomes increasingly severe, a desperate attempt is made to expel the Evil Eye from his body through the use of Hayashida’s unique ability.
Just when it seems they are on the verge of successfully extracting the Evil Eye, Jiji suddenly pleads with them not to kill it…

AT-X: From July 4, 2025, every Friday at 10:30 PM JST. Repeat broadcasts will be available every Tuesday at 10:30 AM JST and every Thursday at 4:30 PM JST.
