What is your Risou Elder Character? Ankeeto Deadline is September 4th [#Keiroo no Hi]

Keirou no Hi (Respect for the Aged Day) in 2025 falls on September 15th. This special day was established to express gratitude to those who have supported society for many years and to celebrate their longevity.

In the vibrant worlds of anime and games, senior characters are often depicted with an incredible, undeniable presence. Their portrayals are wonderfully diverse! They might be a wise sensei imparting essential skills to the protagonist, a powerful sage who has mastered ancient magic or immortal arts, or even a tech-savvy individual proficient with the latest cutting-edge gadgets.

That’s why Anime!Anime! is once again conducting a reader survey titled “Who is Your Ideal Senior Character?”, following last year’s successful run. This is your chance to shine a spotlight on your favorite elder! In a free-response format, please tell us which character you think truly fits the bill and the name of their work.
