About Let’s Play Quest darake no My Life
Let’s Play Quest darake no My Life is an anime adaptation of the incredibly popular North American webcomic, Let’s Play. This digital phenomenon boasts over 900 million views and more than 6.8 million subscribers worldwide, captivating a huge youth audience across the globe. Set in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, the story follows 22-year-old Sam Young, an aspiring game creator who has always shied away from deep romantic relationships. However, as she finds herself unexpectedly drawn into the lives of three distinct men, Sam gradually begins to shed her protective shell and opens her heart to new experiences.

The Voice of Sam Young
The role of Sam, a character navigating her way forward despite her hesitations, is brought to life by the talented voice actress Hanazawa Kana. Known for her diverse career that began as a child actress and transitioned into a prominent voice acting career, Hanazawa-san continues to expand her impressive range. The anime delves into an “adult love story” as Sam, inexperienced in romance, confronts various quests in her life – from love, work, and friendships to family, future dreams, and past traumas. Witnessing her choices and growth through these experiences promises to be an unmissable journey of self-discovery and evolving romance.
Kubota Toshihiro’s Musical Magic
In a fantastic collaboration, it has been revealed that music icon Kubota Toshihiro will be performing both the opening and ending theme songs for Let’s Play Quest darake no My Life! To commemorate this, and the release of Kubota Toshihiro’s best album “THE BADDEST IV&Timeless Hits,” a series of lyric videos featuring his timeless masterpieces alongside scenes from the anime has been announced. These videos are a heartfelt tribute to celebrate Kubota Toshihiro’s 40th debut anniversary.
Upcoming Visuals & Music Releases
Furthermore, Sam and the three male characters will be featured in a series of “situation visuals,” each depicting Sam in a two-shot with one of the men. Both the lyric videos and these special situation visuals will be released consecutively over three weeks, building excitement for the anime’s premiere.
The first lyric video unveiled is for the beloved song “LA・LA・LA LOVE SONG,” which highlights a tender moment of Sam and the popular game streamer Marshall playing a game together, interwoven with captivating scenes from the anime’s main story. The second and third lyric videos are scheduled for release soon, so stay tuned to discover which other classic tracks will be featured!

In further exciting news, the anime’s opening theme “1, 2, Play” and ending theme “Left & Right,” both by Kubota Toshihiro, will be digitally released on October 2. A physical package will follow on November 26, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in the music alongside the anime.
