About Gotoubun no Hanayome
Gotoubun no Hanayome, also known as The Quintessential Quintuplets, is a romantic comedy based on the manga of the same name by Haruba Negi, which was serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine until February 2020. The story follows Uesugi Fuutarou, the top student in his grade, who becomes the private tutor for the beautiful Nakano quintuplets, who are all on the verge of failing due to their aversion to studying. His mission is to guide them all the way through high school graduation.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2019, followed by the second season, Gotoubun no Hanayome ∬, from January to March 2021. The movie Gotoubun no Hanayome, which depicted the climactic “School Festival,” the final event of Fuutarou and the quintuplets’ high school life, premiered on May 20, 2022. Subsequently, Gotoubun no Hanayome ∽, which animated original manga episodes not covered in the TV series, was released in July 2023, and Gotoubun no Hanayome ＊, chronicling Fuutarou and the quintuplets’ honeymoon, was released in theaters in September 2024.
