About `Hataraku Saibou`
`Hataraku Saibou` brings to life a universally relatable story of personified cells, based on the popular manga by Shimizu Akane, serialized in Koodansha’s `Gekkan Shounen Shiriusu`. This captivating series delves into the untold drama of the tireless cells working within the ‘world’ that is our body, from Sekkekkyuu diligently transporting oxygen to Hakkekkyuu bravely fighting off bacteria and viruses.
`david production` animated the TV series, with `Hanazawa Kana` lending her voice to the cheerful Sekkekkyuu and `Maeno Tomoaki` voicing the dependable Hakkekkyuu (Kouchuukyuu). The first season aired in 2018, followed by a second season in 2021. The franchise has expanded with numerous spinoffs, including a TV anime adaptation of `Hataraku Saibou BLACK`. Furthermore, a live-action film adaptation, starring `Nagano Mei` and `Satoh Takeru` in dual leading roles, is set to premiere in December 2024.
