About Kaadokyaputaa Sakura
Kaadokyaputaa Sakura is a beloved manga series that was serialized in the monthly shoujo manga magazine `Nakayoshi` from the June 1996 issue to the August 2000 issue. It chronicles the adventures of `Kinomoto Sakura`, affectionately known as Sakura-chan, as she endeavors to collect the “Clow Cards,” which are said to bring disaster to the world, in her role as a “Cardcaptor.” The original manga was collected into 12 volumes, and a re-edited `Nakayoshi` 60th Anniversary Edition was published in 9 volumes. The series was adapted into an anime by NHK from 1998 to 2000, with the first and second seasons covering the “Clow Card Arc” and the third season focusing on the “Sakura Card Arc.”
Following this, a new chapter titled `Kaadokyaputaa Sakura Kuria Kaado-hen` (also known as *Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc*) began in 2016, marking its 20th anniversary and the first new serialization in 16 years. This new saga concluded after seven and a half years of serialization, spanning 80 chapters compiled into 16 volumes. In 2023, the anime celebrated its 25th anniversary, and a sequel anime for the “Clear Card Arc” has already been confirmed, much to the delight of fans!
