The Journey So Far: From Web Novel to Anime
Dive deeper into the origins of this enchanting tale! Enju originally started writing the Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei novel series on the popular Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in April 2021. Its popularity quickly led to ASCII Media Works picking it up for publication under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint. The printed version, featuring beautiful illustrations by ox (known for works like Ikinokori Renkinjutsushi wa Machi de Shizuka ni Kurashitai), began hitting shelves in November 2021. The tenth volume was released on July 17, and the series boasts an impressive cumulative circulation of 500,000 copies!
For those who prefer visuals, a manga adaptation also exists! Anzai Akira began illustrating the manga version on the ComicWalker platform (now known as Kadocomi) in November 2021. Kadokawa released the fourth volume of the manga in December 2024, continuing to expand the world of Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei for readers.
English Release for Global Fans
Great news for international fans! Yen Press secured the license to publish the light novel for English release in October 2024. They’ve already released the second volume on May 20, and fans can look forward to the third volume arriving on November 11.
