A new promotional video has been released for “Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation” Season 1: “Episode of Heartslabyul”! It has also been announced that the ending theme will be “Obedience,” the Heartslabyul Dorm song.
This anime is based on the popular academy adventure game “Disney Twisted-Wonderland,” which features characters inspired by the captivating Villains from various Disney works. The story follows their school life at Night Raven College, a prestigious magic-user training academy. The anime is set to begin its exclusive streaming on Disney+ starting October 29th.
A Glimpse into the World of Disney Villains
The latest promotional video kicks off with captivating footage from the Disney films that inspired this series: “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Hercules,” and “Sleeping Beauty.” Viewers will be enchanted as the Villains from these classic Disney movies, alongside the seven dorm leaders of Night Raven College, emerge dramatically from the Dark Mirror.
The Start of an Unforgettable Adventure
The story begins when high school student Enman Yuuken mysteriously finds himself transported from the real world into a magical realm. At the same time, the magic-aspiring monster Grim crashes the entrance ceremony. Together, they end up living in the dilapidated Ramshackle Dorm within the academy, where they soon get entangled in the ongoing troubles of the Heartslabyul Dorm.
Heartslabyul Dorm’s Eccentric Members
Within the Heartslabyul Dorm’s garden, a lavish “Unbirthday” party is in full swing, where the strict dorm leader Riddle Rosehearts makes his grand appearance. For the first time in the anime, all students of the Heartslabyul Dorm are featured, showcasing their unique personalities. This includes first-year students Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade, third-year Cater Diamond, and the vice-dorm leader, third-year Trey Clover.
Riddle grows increasingly frustrated with students who fail to uphold the rules, uttering the line, “Boku ga tadashii hazu, boku ga tadashikunakya ikenai” (I must be right, I have to be right), which hints at the loneliness and suffering he endures, trapped by his own strict adherence to regulations. The video dramatically concludes with Riddle activating his unique magic, “Off With Your Head.”
Music and Narration
The ending theme has been confirmed as “Obedience,” the Heartslabyul Dorm song, which was first unveiled in March of this year. You can hear it, along with the opening theme Night Ravens’ “Piece of my world,” in the promotional video. The PV’s narration is expertly provided by Yamadera Kouichi, a veteran voice actor known for his work in numerous Japanese dubs of Disney films.
