TV Anime DAN DA DAN x Monster Strike
DAN DA DAN is an occultic battle and youth story based on the manga by Tatsu Yukinobu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” app. The series has amassed over 10 million copies in circulation. The story follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. After encountering overwhelming, incomprehensible supernatural phenomena, they gain hidden powers and cursed abilities. With these newfound strengths, they confront strange occurrences while also getting entangled in the fated romance of their lives.
The anime adaptation, broadcast on MBS/TBS networks during the “Super Animeism TURBO” block, achieved the highest average overall viewership rating among all works aired in that slot since its establishment during its first season from October to December 2024. It has garnered significant attention internationally, winning numerous awards and even ranking 2nd in Netflix’s Weekly Global TOP 10 (Non-English series).
