As the chill of winter begins to grace Japan, we find ourselves entering the period known as Shousetsu (小雪), one of the twenty-four Sekki (solar terms) that meticulously divide the year. In 2025, Shousetsu stretches from November 22nd to December 6th, marking the time when the first delicate snowflakes are said to begin their dance.
For anime fans, winter brings with it a special kind of magic. There are always those cherished anime titles that we eagerly anticipate rewatching as the colder months set in. Perhaps it’s the breathtakingly beautiful snowy landscapes that captivate our hearts, or stories centered around thrilling winter sports that get our adrenaline pumping. And of course, who can forget the heartwarming depictions of festive events like Christmas and New Year’s? It’s truly wonderful how many anime instantly come to mind when we feel that distinctive crisp winter air, wouldn’t you agree?
Announcing the “Anime You Want to Watch in Winter” 2025 Survey!
That’s why, following the great response from last year, Anime! Anime! is once again excited to launch our reader poll titled “Which anime makes you want to watch it in ‘winter’?” We invite all our readers to share their absolute favorite anime that perfectly captures the spirit of winter.
