GLAY to Perform Theme Song for “Shuumatsu no Valkyrie” Premiering December 10th; PV Featuring Song Released!

The third season of the popular anime series, Shuumatsu no Valkyrie III, based on the highly acclaimed manga Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, which has sold over 18 million copies, is set to premiere on Netflix starting Wednesday, December 10th.

The third season of the popular anime series, Shuumatsu no Valkyrie III, based on the highly acclaimed manga Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, which has sold over 18 million copies, is set to premiere on Netflix starting Wednesday, December 10th.

This immensely popular manga originally began its serialization in Monthly Comic Zenon in 2017. It’s a collaborative masterpiece by Ajichika (artwork), Umemura Shinya (original story), and Fukui Takumi (composition).

For this third season, it’s also been announced that GLAY’s new song, “Dead Or Alive,” will serve as the opening theme. TAKURO handled both the lyrics and composition, creating a fiercely intense rock track that is distinctly GLAY and sure to amplify the fiery battles of the warriors. Alongside this exciting news, a third promotional video featuring the song has also been released.

TAKURO-san shared his thoughts, stating, “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with the opening theme for a series that has garnered immense popularity since its first season.” He further elaborated that the song was crafted with the grand narrative of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie and the individual struggles of each character firmly in mind.

I am truly honored to be in charge of the opening theme for a work that has gained such immense popularity since its first season.

“Dead Or Alive” was created with the grand narrative of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie in mind, as well as the struggles of each character that ‘cannot be judged by justice alone.’ Furthermore, it’s a song that perfectly blends the world of magnificent action with the inherent intensity of rock music.

The second key visual has also been unveiled, giving fans another glimpse into the epic battles ahead. The final struggle between Gods and Humanity, known as Ragnarok, continues with intense 7th, 8th, and 9th rounds, where both gods and humans stake their pride and the fighters’ resolve! What machinations are swirling behind the scenes? Be sure to pay close attention to the unfolding fate of this grand tournament!

Additionally, new cast members have been announced, with Horie Shun-san cast as Nostradamus.

The release date for the ending theme song, “Last breath, Last record” by Hayami Saori, has also been set for December 10th. Anticipation is high for the premiere of this series, which will be exclusively available on Netflix.
