ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, the band that recently thrilled audiences both at home and abroad with their performance as the opening act for British rock band Oasis’s Tokyo Dome concert in Japan, is widely known for their massive hit song “Haruka Kanata,” the second opening theme for the iconic anime “NARUTO.”

Exciting news for fans! [Alexandros] has been announced as a special guest for ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION’s “30th Anniversary Special Concert ‘Live in Jakarta’,” scheduled for April 18, 2026, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
This upcoming concert marks the very first time ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION will share a stage with [Alexandros] at an event they themselves have organized. While the two acclaimed bands have crossed paths at various events and festivals over the years, a co-headlining performance at an Aji-Kan-hosted live show remained a dream until now. The stars aligned following [Alexandros]’s appearance at “NANO-MUGEN FES. 2025,” which was held this year for the first time in 11 years, and a subsequent reunion between members at Kururi’s “Kyoto Ongaku Hakurankai 2025” where the Jakarta show became a topic of discussion. This serendipitous conversation paved the way for this monumental collaboration.
This one-night-only special stage will bring together two of Japan’s leading rock bands, creating a celebratory musical fanfare that looks both to Aji-Kan’s “present” and their “future.” Additionally, local Indonesian artists are also confirmed to perform at the event, with their names to be announced at a later date.
Writer Takahashi Tomoki commented, “Alongside the Tokyo concert ‘Thirty Revolutions,’ this stage will undoubtedly serve as a crucial compass, pointing towards the band’s even brighter future.”
New Solo Show in Sapporo and Yokohama Live Footage Released!
In other thrilling news, a pre-30th anniversary solo concert, “From the Northern Land ’26 ‘Friendship’,” is set to take place at Sapporo PENNY LANE24 on March 13, 2026. Ticket sales will begin on November 25 at 6:00 PM JST.
Furthermore, live footage of three songs — “Re:Re:,” “Kimi to Iu Hana,” and “MAKUAKE” — from the June 1 performance of NANO-MUGEN FES. 2025 at K Arena Yokohama has been unveiled. This special release is dedicated to fans who unfortunately missed “NANO-MUGEN FES. 2025 in Jakarta,” which was canceled in May of this year due to various circumstances.
