About Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics” with all 23 volumes released and over 220 million copies in circulation. The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is tragically murdered by demons. He joins the Kisatsutai (Demon Slayer Corps) to turn his demon-transformed sister, Nezuko, back into a human and plunges into a fierce battle against the Oni (demons).
The series has captured the hearts of many with its poignant tale of humans and demons, thrilling sword fights, captivating characters, and occasional heartwarming comedic moments.
The anime adaptation, animated by ufotable, has been expanding its series since April 2019, starting with TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou Risshihen. Furthermore, Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugenjou-hen (Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugenjou Arc) has been confirmed as a three-part film series, with “Daiisshou Akaza Sairai” (Chapter One: Akaza’s Return) having already premiered on July 18. This cinematic event depicts the final decisive battle between the Kisatsutai and the Oni, set within the demons’ stronghold, the Mugenjou (Infinity Castle).
