About Kimetsu no Yaiba
The Kimetsu no Yaiba anime is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, which was serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics.” All 23 volumes have been published, boasting an astounding cumulative circulation of over 220 million copies. The captivating story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is tragically murdered by demons. His younger sister, Nezuko, is the sole survivor but is transformed into a demon herself. To revert Nezuko back to human form and avenge his family, Tanjirou bravely joins the Demon Slayer Corps (Kisatsutai) and embarks on a perilous journey, throwing himself into desperate battles against powerful demons.

Following the character commercials for Kamado Tanjirou, Tomioka Giyuu, Kochou Shinobu, and Agatsuma Zenitsu, the fifth character CM, titled “Character CM [Akaza],” has now been unveiled. This gripping commercial, utilizing intense footage from Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugenjo-hen Dai Isshou Akaza Sairai, shines a spotlight on Akaza, the Upper Rank Three demon. Akaza is famously known for his fierce, life-or-death struggle against the Flame Hashira, Rengoku Kyoujurou, and is constantly striving to reach the “Supreme Territory” in pursuit of ultimate martial arts prowess, a singular goal that defines his existence.

The CM opens with Akaza’s chilling lines, “The weak make my skin crawl,” and “Elimination is nothing more than the natural order.” We then see him engaging in brutal and intense battles with Tanjirou and Giyuu, with his inner thoughts running alongside the action: “I must become stronger,” and “I must become stronger than anyone.” The entire commercial beautifully encapsulates Akaza’s relentless and singular pursuit of strength, a core aspect of his terrifying yet compelling character, highlighting his unwavering devotion to martial arts.
