From Web Novel to Anime Sensation: The Journey of Yuusha no Kuzu

The captivating story of Yuusha no Kuzu began its life as a web novel, originally penned by Rocket Shoukai. It was serialized on the popular Kakuyomu website from February to March in 2016. Due to its popularity, Kadokawa later published the novel under its Kadokawa Books imprint in December of the same year, beautifully illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka, known for his work on titles like Majutsushi Orphen.

The manga adaptation, drawn by Nakashima723, first saw the light of day when it was self-published online in June 2018. The first physical volume then hit the Kindle Indies Manga platform in November of that year. Later, Comic Border picked up the serialization of the manga adaptation in February 2022. Fans are eagerly following the series, with LEED Publishing having released the seventh volume on March 21, and the eighth volume already scheduled to arrive on December 18.

For international fans, the adventure crossed borders! The first volume was released in English by comic translation engine Mantra Comics in March 2020. Shortly after, Manga Planet began publishing the chapters in English in May 2020, making the series accessible to a global audience.
