About Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (also commonly known as Watakon) is a captivating Japanese-style Cinderella story that beautifully weaves together themes of “love” and “supernatural abilities.” Based on the novel by Agitogi Akumi with original illustrations by Tsukioka Tsukiho, the TV anime’s first season aired in July 2023. It garnered immense popularity both domestically and internationally, celebrated for its vibrant and stunning visuals, dramatic musical score, and the stellar performances of its voice cast.
The highly anticipated second season of the TV anime is set to begin in January 2025. This season promises to dive deeper into the conflict surrounding the “Usuba no Chi” (Thin-Blade Blood) flowing through Saimori Miyo (voiced by Ueda Reina), a young woman who grew up abused by her stepmother and lacked self-confidence. Her love with the aloof military officer, Kudou Kiyoka (voiced by Ishikawa Kaito), will face new trials as the story unfolds into a fresh, dramatic phase.
