New “Sousou no Frieren” Merchandise Coming to AEON Stores

A new line of goods featuring original artwork from the TV anime Sousou no Frieren (also known as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) is set to hit store shelves! Starting January 1, 2026, these items will be available at the toy sections of approximately 50 “AEON” and “AEON Style” stores across the Kanto, Hokuriku Shinetsu, Tokai, Kinki, and Chugoku/Shikoku regions.

What is Sousou no Frieren?

Sousou no Frieren is a manga series by author Yamada Kanehito and artist Abe Tsukasa, currently serialized in Weekly Shounen Sunday. The story is set in the world after the Demon King has been defeated by a heroic party. It follows the journey of Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years and helped defeat the Demon King, and the new companions she meets along the way.

The series captivates readers with its poignant drama and memorable dialogue, set in the fresh timeline of a “post-Demon King” world. It masterfully blends magical and martial combat with genuinely humorous moments, weaving a compelling narrative. The manga’s popularity continues to soar, with the compiled volumes surpassing 32 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The TV anime adaptation, produced by the renowned studio Madhouse, aired its first season from September 2023 to March 2024. It became a massive social media sensation, spawning trending topics like “Frieren grammar,” “title callback,” and “just get together already.” The highly anticipated second season is scheduled to begin on January 16, 2026, airing on Nippon TV’s nationwide network as part of “FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura Ani).” It will adapt the story from Chapter 61, which is included in Volume 7 of the manga.
