In a heartwarming close to 2025, the voice acting community was blessed with some joyous personal news. Two major announcements on December 31st spread happiness among fans and colleagues alike.
Kajiwara Gaku and Yamada Marina: Marriage and a New Arrival
Voice actors Kajiwara Gaku and Yamada Marina took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a dual celebration: their marriage and the birth of their first child. The news came via a joint statement from both of their accounts.
Kajiwara Gaku, born November 28 and from Osaka Prefecture, is a fan-favorite voice known for bringing immense energy to roles like the never-give-up Asta in Burakku Kuroobaa (Black Clover), the fiery Shinra Kusakabe in En’en no Shouboutai (Fire Force), and the incredibly kind-hearted Tadano Hitohito in Komi-san wa, Komyushou desu. (Komi Can’t Communicate). His talent was officially recognized when he won the New Actor Award at the 14th Seiyu Awards in 2020.
Yamada Marina, born March 24 and from Fukuoka Prefecture, began her career in the idol group HKT48 before transitioning to voice acting in 2018. She has since charmed audiences with her roles, including the chaotic and cute devil Pino in Jashin-chan Dropkick, the logical yet lovable Fujiwara Suiu in Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita. r=1-sinθ (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It), and the elegant Aishira in Akuyaku Reijou wa Rinrikoku no Ooutaishi ni Dekiai sareru (The Villainess Is Doted on by the Crown Prince of the Neighboring Country).

Uchida Risa and Nakamura Tsubasa: A New Chapter Together
Adding to the day’s celebrations, voice actor and actress Uchida Risa also announced her marriage to actor Nakamura Tsubasa via a post on X.
Uchida Risa, born February 12 and from Tokyo, is a versatile performer. Voice acting fans may know her as the cheerful Kairi and the mysterious Shion in the Kingudamu Haatsu (Kingdom Hearts) series, the spirited Emilka in Rupan Sansei: Goodbye Partner (Lupin III: Goodbye Partner), and Sugar Boy in the long-running classic Soreike! Anpanman (Go! Anpanman). Her talents extend to the stage, where she has shined in musical theater, famously starring as Annie in the musical “Annie” back in 1999.
Her new husband, Nakamura Tsubasa, is well-known for his role as Miyake Toshiya in the emotionally powerful anime Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April). He has a strong presence in theatrical productions, having performed in renowned works like Les Misérables and The Man Who Sells Memories.
