The story exploded into anime form in January 2015, with a first season of 22 episodes and a second season of 25 episodes. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, the series launched the “Anime ‘Ansatsu Kyoushitsu’ 10th Anniversary Time” project, building hype for the highly anticipated new film, Gekijouban “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” Minna no Jikan (which can be translated as Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone’s Time), set to release on March 20, 2026.
