Known to fans as Maomus, Maou no Musume wa Yasashisugiru!! is based on the manga by Yuuya Sakamoto, serialized on Hakusensha’s Young Animal Web. It’s a unique, heartwarming “iyashi-kei” (healing-type) isekai fantasy. The TV anime is directed by Masahiko Oota with animation production by EMT Squared.
The story follows the Demon King Aariman, who united the evil-incarnate demon race and invaded worlds with violence and power. But suddenly, for some reason, he stopped all invasions completely. The reason the most powerful Demon King in the underworld ceased his conquest? His daughter, Duu, is simply too kind. Born a demon yet possessing boundless kindness, Duu has a fluffy, healing effect on everyone—whether it’s wicked demons, savage monsters, enslaved humans, or even their archenemies, the angels.
Witnessing her father’s anguish, his aide Jahii resolves to make Duu into a proper demon and subjects her to various trials. However, these trials only end up spreading Duu’s kindness even further. And that very kindness begins to create small ripples in this less-than-kind world…

Episode 1 of the Winter 2026 anime Maou no Musume wa Yasashisugiru!! will air on TOKYO MX, BS Fuji, and AT-X starting Wednesday, January 7 at 22:00 (JST). Ahead of the TV broadcast, DMM TV will have an early “terrestrial wave先行” and domestic “fastest” stream starting Tuesday, January 6 at 22:00 (first two episodes together). d Anime Store will have a secondary early stream two days after the TV airing, starting Friday, January 9 at 22:00.
