About the Series
29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou is an adventure fantasy based on the manga by Nara Ippei, serialized in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. The manga is quite successful, with volumes 1 through 20 currently available. The music is a highlight, with both the opening and ending themes being handled by the popular group HoneyWorks. The cast features Furukawa Makoto as the protagonist, Shinonome Hajime, and Suzushiro Sayumi as the girl, Rirui.
The story follows Shinonome Hajime, who spent his childhood in the slums, desperately seeking strength just to survive. Now, he lives a laid-back life as the resident adventurer for Komai Village. His easy-going days take a turn when, during a routine dungeon quest, he finds a little girl about to be eaten by the weakest of monsters—a slime! Her name is Rirui. She had ventured into the dangerous dungeon alone, just trying to stay alive. Abandoned by her parents with nowhere to go, Hajime can’t just leave her behind. He decides to take Rirui back to the village… and live together?!
