The “Cake Song” Scene from Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Gets a Figure Set!
From Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica [Shinpen] Hangyaku no Monogatari (also known as Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion), the scene of the magical girls’ tea party and the “Cake Song” they sing during the nightmare purification ritual has been turned into figures by Aniplex. They are scheduled for release in November 2026.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica is an original anime from the creator team Magica Quartet, comprised of director Shinbou Akiyuki, writer Urobuchi Gen (Nitroplus), original character designer Aoki Ume, and animation studio Shaft. It’s the story of a magical girl that begins when an ordinary second-year middle school student, Kaname Madoka, has a mysterious encounter.
The TV anime broadcast started in 2011. Later, in October 2025, the theatrical compilation films were re-edited into an 11-episode TV anime series titled “Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Hajimari no Monogatari / Eien no Monogatari” TV Edition, which aired its final episode on December 21st. The newest work, Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica〈Walpurgis no Kaiten〉, is scheduled for release in February 2026.
