Comments from the Creators

Original Creator, Oreko Tachibana:
“I can’t contain my excitement that *Hotaru no Yomeiri* is being animated! I’m so looking forward to seeing how the characters, now in the capable hands of david production known for their dynamic action, will move on screen. Supported by the gentle and passionate director and Ms. Aikyo, who carefully understands every nuance for the character designs, the anticipation is immense. I really want to watch the anime on TV for the first time alongside the readers, but I guess I have to do supervision work first, huh? I’ll have to discuss it. Please enjoy it with me, everyone!”

Director, Takahiro Kamei:
“This is a story of two opposites—an assassin and a noble lady. I feel it’s a profoundly rich work packed with their respective ways of life, fragility and madness, emotional subtleties, intense battles, and suspense. The animation team is experimenting daily to ensure we don’t lose any of this charm. We will work earnestly to meet your expectations, so please look forward to it!”

Character Designer, Yukiko Aikyo:
“From my perspective, the greatest charm of Tachibana-sensei’s art is its delicacy and boldness—the richness of expression that changes with the characters’ emotions. We are still in the trial-and-error phase of production, but I will do my best to deliver the original’s appeal through the anime as much as possible!!”

Story

An obsessive love story between an assassin with overwhelming love and a young lady with little time left.

Her dream is to marry into a prestigious family and become her father’s pride. However, one night, she is abducted due to someone’s scheme.
