New Doraemon x NEW ERA Collaboration Caps & Goods Drop This Month
The iconic headwear brand NEW ERA, which has been rolling out caps featuring Doraemon, is launching new items for their original collection starting January 15, 2026.
Doraemon is a legendary national manga series by the mangaka Fujiko F Fujio. The anime is beloved by people of all ages, telling the story of Doraemon, a cat-shaped robot from the future who works to help the protagonist, Nobita, grow into a capable adult. The TV anime is currently broadcast every Saturday at 5:00 PM on TV Asahi and its 24 affiliate stations.
March 2025 saw the release of the 45th-anniversary film Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no E Sekai Monogatari (which can be translated as “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Painted World Story”). Fans are also eagerly awaiting Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjou (“Doraemon the Movie: The New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil”), a new take on a classic story, scheduled for February 27, 2026.
Fresh Designs for the Cat-Eared Robot
The popular “Doraemon wearing a NEW ERA cap” motif is getting new companions! The latest collection introduces fresh graphics like “Doraemon sleeping on a crescent moon“, a “hand-drawn style Doraemon“, and “comic panel-style graffiti“. Some items even feature the silhouettes of the whole gang: Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, Suneo, and Dorami.
Kid’s Items & Sweet Treats
The kids’ items are definitely worth a look! There are also designs exclusive to the younger fans that combine Doraemon with sweet treats like “lollipops” and “donuts“—patterns you won’t find on the adult apparel.
Beyond caps, the lineup includes unique NEW ERA goods like T-shirts and pouches.
Release Information
All items will go on sale January 15, 2026, at NEW ERA stores across Japan and on the official NEW ERA website.
