The mighty Thunder Gridman, the super god fusion of Gridman and God Zenon from the tokusatsu drama Denkou Choujin Gridman, has been action figure-ized in the S.H.Figuarts (Shinkotsuchou-hou) line. Pre-orders will kick off on January 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM via the “Tamashii Web Store” on the Bandai Namco Group’s official mail-order site, Premium Bandai.
A Masterpiece of Authentic Proportions
This S.H.Figuarts (Shinkotsuchou-hou) Thunder Gridman is an action figure that meticulously recreates the hero’s proportions. Its form is based on body scan data of the original suit actor, Ookano Hiroyuki, ensuring an incredibly accurate build and skeletal structure.
The sculpting went through supervised cooperation from Tsuburaya Productions’ modeling department, LSS, and Mabuchi Takafumi, who was in charge of creating the original Thunder Gridman suit. To truly capture the essence of the original suit, which utilized various tokusatsu techniques, the figure’s details are recreated using two different methods: sculpting and tampo printing.
Dynamic Posing with Enhanced Articulation
When it comes to posability, the figure doesn’t disappoint. It incorporates soft material parts in sections of the torso and features pull-out gimmicks at the shoulders and hip joints, allowing you to recreate those iconic, dynamic poses straight from the series. The improved ground contact, thanks to partially movable leg armor, is another detail fans will love.
Loaded with Signature Accessories
The figure comes packed with more than just the main body. Included are the “Thunder Grid Beam” effect part used in the show and a set of stand parts to recreate the “Drill Break” attack. You can even remove the drills from both shoulders to mimic scenes from the series. To expand your display options, the set also includes two types of interchangeable hands for both the left and right.
As a cool toy-original gimmick, this Thunder Gridman can also hold the “Plasma Blade” and “Barrier Shield” that come with the separately sold S.H.Figuarts (Shinkotsuchou-hou) Gridman. By using the included open-palm hands, you can create even more expressive and varied scenes.
Furthermore, certain parts are removable, allowing you to combine this figure with the separately sold Gridman to imagine and display the series’ iconic fusion sequence. It’s the perfect centerpiece for any fan’s collection.
