The Legendary Manga: Hokuto no Ken

Hokuto no Ken is a manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 1983, with original story by Buronson and art by Hara Tetsuo. Set in a devastated world after a nuclear war, it follows Kenshiro, the successor of the legendary assassination fist “Hokuto Shinken”, as he carries love and destiny on his shoulders and engages in deadly battles with formidable foes. With its overwhelming artistic power, intense human drama, shocking violence, and iconic catchphrases like “You are already dead,” it sparked a social phenomenon and has sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
