The wait is finally over for followers of the popular isekai fantasy series! The official website for Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu. (also known to many as The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior) has just unveiled a fresh batch of details for its upcoming second season. Meet the New Voices in the Kingdom
Two seasoned voice actors are stepping into the world of the series. Tachibana Shinnosuke (known for Loop 7-kaime no Akuyaku Reijou wa, Moto Tekikoku de Jiyuu Kimama na Hanayome Seikatsu wo Mankitsu suru) will be taking on the role of Leon, while Midorikawa Hikaru (from Delico’s Nursery) will be voicing Cedric. A Look Back at the Series’ Journey
The story began with author Tenichi, who first started publishing the light novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in April 2018. It was later picked up by Ichijinsha under its Iris Neo label, featuring illustrations by Suzunosuke. The novel is still going strong, with its 12th volume released in October 2025.
The world of the series also expanded into manga. The first adaptation was serialized by Matsuura Bunko on Zero-Sum Online from March 2019, concluding in October 2024 due to the artist’s health. A fresh manga take by Kawano Akiko, covering the “Val Arc,” ran from June 2023 to December 2024. Following that, Kawano Akiko began a follow-up manga for the “Fiance Arc” in March 2025, which is currently serialized in the same magazine.
For international fans, Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed both the light novel and the first manga adaptation in English. The publisher released the ninth volume of the novel in September 2025, with the tenth slated for April 14, 2026.
