About the Manga Legacy
This anime is based on the long-running baseball epic by Yuuji Terajima. The original Diamond no Ace manga had an incredible run in Weekly Shounen Magazine from 2006 to 2015, spanning 47 volumes. The story didn’t stop there, as the sequel, Diamond no Ace Act II, began immediately after and concluded its own 16-year saga in October 2022.
For fans hungry for more, a special sequel side story, Diamond no Ace Act II Gaiden: Teitou vs. Ugumori, ran from December 2024 to March 2025.
How to Read in English
Good news for international readers! Kodansha Comics USA has licensed the original manga, releasing all 47 volumes digitally, with the final volume published in January 2024. You can also find it digitally on the K-Manga platform.
