“Kimetsu no Yaiba” Collaboration Event Featuring Newly Drawn Illustrations of Tanjirou and Giyuu at Aichi’s “Meiji Mura”

Step into the World of Demon Slayer in Meiji-era Japan

The collaborative event where you can experience the world of the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba, “Kimetsu no Yaiba x Museum Meiji Mura: Meiji Mura Special Mission Record,” will be held at the open-air museum Museum Meiji Mura in Inuyama, Aichi, from March 7th to May 31st, 2026. Characters including Kamado Tanjirou, Agatsuma Zenitsu, Tomioka Giyuu, Kochou Shinobu, and Tokitou Muichirou will appear in the village grounds with newly drawn illustrations.

About Kimetsu no Yaiba

Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, published by Shueisha’s “Jump Comics” with a total of 23 volumes and cumulative circulation surpassing 220 million copies. It follows the story of a boy, Kamado Tanjirou, whose family is killed by demons. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Kamado Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, throwing himself into battle against demons. The series is beloved for its poignant tale of humans and demons, intense sword-fighting action, charming characters, and occasional comedic moments.

The animation is produced by ufotable, with the series launching in April 2019 with TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Kamado Tanjirou立志編 (also known as the Unwavering Resolve Arc). The final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, set in the demons’ stronghold “Infinity Castle,” will be produced as a trilogy titled Movie “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugen Ressha-hen. The first chapter, “Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” premiered on July 18, 2025. Although it narrowly missed out on an award, Movie “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Infinity Castle Chapter 1: Akaza Returns garnered attention as the only Japanese work nominated for the “Animated Feature Film” award at the “83rd Golden Globe Awards,” often called a precursor to the Oscars.

Event Overview: Meiji Village x Demon Slayer

This “Kimetsu no Yaiba x Museum Meiji Mura: Meiji Mura Special Mission Record” is a collaborative event held at Meiji Mura, which relocates and preserves over 60 buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the Taisho-era world of the series. To coincide with this event, five characters—Kamado Tanjirou, Agatsuma Zenitsu, Tomioka Giyuu, Kochou Shinobu, and Tokitou Muichirou—have been newly illustrated by ufotable.

Puzzle Games & Character Collaboration Food

In the puzzle game, participants take on the role of a rookie Demon Slayer Corps member, tackling missions and aiming to solve incidents unfolding in Meiji Village with the help of Tanjirou and the others. The puzzle game is original to this collaboration, with three courses prepared according to difficulty. Clearing each course grants an “Original Sticker,” and completing all courses awards a completion prize—an “Original Can Badge.”

Furthermore, 13 types of collaboration food and drinks, each inspired by the characters, will be available. Ordering a collaboration meal allows you to receive a random original card. Additionally, within the village, there will be a stamp rally “Search for the Corps Members’ Photos Rally,” a quiz rally “Special Training Quiz with the Corps Members,” and four different attractions. The collaboration goods store will handle original merchandise featuring designs from the newly drawn illustrations.
