The “DX Chogokin VF-31S Siegfried (Arado Merudāsu Custom) Armored Parts Set” is now available for pre-order on Bandai’s official premium shop, “Premium Bandai”. Priced at 17,600 yen (tax included), shipping is scheduled for March 2026.
A Legendary Series: The Legacy of Macross
The Macross saga is a legendary SF and robot anime series that began with the 1982 broadcast of Choujikuu Yousai Macross (Super Dimension Fortress Macross). Its iconic traits—the three-stage transforming robot fighter known as the “Valkyrie,” the pivotal role of idols and music in the narrative, and love stories that often form dramatic love triangles—have been cherished hallmarks carried through the entire franchise.
Macross Delta: A New Harmony of Song and Combat
As a part of this legacy, Macross Delta, which aired from April to September 2016, introduced a fresh dynamic. It was the first series to feature a five-member idol unit, Walküre, whose five-part harmonic songs were seamlessly fused with intense Valkyrie-vs-Valkyrie dogfights, creating a thrilling new experience.
The unit’s 1st album “Walkure Attack!” featuring hit songs like “Ichido dake no Koi nara,” “Rune ga Pikatto Hikattara,” and the unforgettable “Ikenai Borderline” earned the Animation Album of the Year award at the 31st Japan Gold Disc Awards. The story continued with Gekijouban Macross Delta: Gekijou no Walküre in 2018, which reconstructed the TV series with new scenes, followed by the all-new sequel Gekijouban Macross Delta: Zettai LIVE!!!!!! in 2021.
