“Pokémon Local Acts” and lifestyle magazine “Orange Page” have realized a special collaboration. A playful eco-bag that can be compactly stored inside a Monster Ball will be a special appendix.
“Pokémon Local Acts” is an activity (Acts) where “oshi Pokémon” selected from each of 12 prefectures help spread the appeal of their regions both domestically and internationally. With the hope that oshi Pokémon will be loved in their regions and many people will rediscover the charm of various places, vehicles and specialty products featuring oshi Pokémon designs have been created.
“Pokémon,” the beloved nickname for “Pocket Monsters,” celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. The Game Boy software “Pocket Monsters Red & Green,” released in 1996, was a huge hit, and the franchise has expanded into trading card games, TV anime, and movies, becoming a globally loved content.
The TV anime that began airing in 1997 continues to this day after 25 years. A new series starting in April 2023 features dual protagonists, the girl Liko and the boy Roy. Additionally, the stop-motion animation “Pokémon Concierge,” co-produced by Netflix and Pokémon, is currently streaming.
The “Orange Page” with this collaboration appendix saw online bookstore reservations exceed 10,000 within three days of opening, and it is also trending on social media.
The appendix is an eco-bag that can be attached to a backpack or bag to be carried like a Monster Ball. The June 2 issue extra edition comes with type A, featuring Pokémon with navy borders and a soft impression. The June 3 issue extra edition comes with type B, with refreshing pastel green borders and dynamic designs with clear outlines.
Storing the eco-bag in its inner pocket transforms it into a palm-sized Monster Ball. Clip it to a backpack or bag with a carabiner, and it looks just like carrying a Monster Ball.
