Chicken Ramen Collaboration Revives Vintage Otaku Memories with Kabuto Borg V×V – Social Media Flooded with Iconic Lines

Chicken Ramen posted a collaboration video on its official X account. The collaboration with a highly nostalgic work sparked reactions from the old Nico Nico Douga generation. The X post is filled with iconic lines from the series.

The official Chicken Ramen account updated X on May 14, 2026, releasing a collaboration video with Jinzou Konchuu Kabuto Borg V×V, with the caption: “Shirotama Kabuto Borg Vol. 1: ‘Let’s make Chicken Ramen’s egg white!’ Hey! Since you can win a Shirotama Maker, let’s aim for it!”

The video is a modified version of Kabuto Borg V×V episode 44, “Flowing Great River! Scarab Flash Pyramid Power.” All dialogue was reportedly re-recorded for the occasion, with certain parts replace by the word “Shirotama Maker.”

The “Shirotama Maker” is a cooking tool created by Chicken Ramen for this collaboration. It is shaped like the mascot chick character, and will be given away via lottery.

In the collaboration video, the Shirotama Maker appears unnaturally on screen. The protagonist, Ryuusei, uses ventriloquism to become the Shirotama Maker. Eventually, everyone except Ryuusei has their head replaced with a Shirotama Maker, leading to a chaotic scene.

Jinzou Konchuu Kabuto Borg V×V was produced and aired in 2006. The series became famous for its chaotic developments and questionable dialogue. Iconic lines include: “Since we came to the sea, let’s go to the sea!”, “That’s an aunt!”, and “If sorry were enough, we wouldn’t need the New York Police Department!”

Following the collaboration video, X is flooded with famous lines: “Watch out, Ryuusei, your opponent is an adult who bought the official product in bulk!”, “Huh, why collaborate with Kabuto Borg now? I don’t really care either way.”, and “Since we ate Chicken Ramen, let’s eat Chicken Ramen!”

Furthermore, comments about the official Chicken Ramen account—known for occasionally posting insane content and mysterious collaborations—include: “Are you serious?!”, “Kabuto Borg in the Reiwa era!”, “Whether it’s the Charaben collaboration or Kabuto Borg, is the current Nisshin ad manager from the Nico Nico generation?”, “How can they bring this much craziness in a collab that rivals the original?”, “No, what is this collab?”, “No way lol I’m laughing lol”, “Still crazy as always.”
