Sumikko Gurashi and the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk 5th floor Chinese Cuisine Boukairo have collaborated. The limited-time lunch course and dinner course “Sumikko Gurashi Dim Sum Days” will be held from Wednesday, July 1, 2026 to Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Chinese Cuisine Boukairo “Sumikko Gurashi Dim Sum Days”
“Sumikko Gurashi” is a San-X character series with the theme “There’s something calming about being in a corner.” Characters such as Shirokuma, Penguin?, Tonkatsu, Neko, Tokage, and Ebi Fry no Shippo, with their slightly negative but distinct personalities and worldview, have captivated generations from children to adults, and celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2022.
Chinese Cuisine Boukairo “Sumikko Gurashi Dim Sum Days”
The “Sumikko Gurashi Dim Sum Days” lunch course includes 3 kinds of appetizers, soup, 4 warm dishes, 5 dim sum, fried rice, dessert, and Chinese tea — a satisfying course allowing you to enjoy 16 types of Chinese cuisine one bite at a time.
When you open the steamer basket decorated with illustrations of the Sumikko characters, five dim sum inspired by “Zassou” (weed), “Tapioca,” and “Ebi Fry no Shippo” (tail of fried shrimp) appear. The jade-green dumpling inspired by “Zassou” is wrapped in a skin made from pureed spinach and filled with pork and shrimp. The Cantonese shumai inspired by “Ebi Fry no Shippo” has a chewy texture with a shrimp filling, and the tail part is shaped from red heart radish, so you can enjoy even the tail.

The dinner course is designed to be enjoyed with close friends around a large platter, and includes 4 appetizers, soup, 3 warm dishes, 3 dim sum, fried rice, and dessert. Popular menu items from Chinese Cuisine Boukairo such as mapo tofu, stir-fried wagyu thigh and mushrooms in oyster sauce, and spicy shrimp and vegetable stir-fry with shrimp miso sauce are served.

In addition to dim sum inspired by “Zassou,” “Tapioca,” and “Ebi Fry no Shippo,” the desserts include a Chinese sponge cake adorned with the face of “Tonkatsu,” adorable peach buns with the face of “Tapioca,” and an oolong tea pudding with black tapioca that offers the aromatic flavor of oolong tea.

For each adult ordering the dinner course, a free serving of the course’s dim sum and five-ingredient fried rice can be added for children aged 12 and under.

Chinese-themed Sumikko Gurashi character panels are also available for loan. Guests are encouraged to line up their favorite panels with the food and enjoy taking photos.
